Topical Artist Incentive
Altruismusic recognises that music can be a powerful vehicle for social change, and that in an age where many global injustices are happening, popular music in the west often serves to distract from enlightening issues where it could instead highlight them.
So Altruismusic being essentially a healing, spiritual and thinking persons online label, serves to support developing, emerging and established performing/ recording artists who speak out and /or communicate solutions to world problems.
We strongly encourage the views of young musical artists, (provided they are non-violent) by exposing the artists and their releases, making your CD’s available via MP3 download (either for free or for a price specified by (you) the artist, to the buyer),
Artists who are speaking out against any of the following (below), or to put it another way, are performers who write material in support of human rights and/or animal rights and/or environmental solutions, are strongly encouraged to get their CD’s exposed through Altruismusic Online and / or record your next album with us for free, or a subsidised fee.

We, `No Beef PATTY n STU’, are a duo that writes on a variety of issues. Our most pressing buisness is that of the environment. Rather than take to the pulpit and preach the word, we use a kind of sardonic dialougue in lyrics to discuss, sometimes directly, sometimes with crytic devices, specific issues. We hope to stimulate thought with some unexpected twists. Onstage we banter about theatrically in Jam sections of our songs. We might pose the idea that the internal combustion engine has to go , in order that the old established technocrats, who, to be all marxist about it , own and control that particular set of `means of production’, don’t get to subsume new ecotechnologies. New dialectics can develop around diiferent technologies if they are left in the hands of those new designers who are committed to the moral and ethical issues, which are the `mothers of their inventions’. It is possible to set discources and eventually infrastructures which exemplify or embody these `premises’.
That’s one of our `lines of work’. Both of us are family therapists. I have also have a degree in philosophy. We are both vegetarians. I live in the Grose Wilderness and am very protective of wild nature. The family therapy and psychotherapy aspects come out in songs, which for example analyse the reasons that some men have affairs and how they often will externalise blame for ther actions to the woman involved. This is talking about individaul responsibilty and knowing enough about yourself to undersatnd what informs your actions. In this case a longing or wanting. This individaul awreness has to be part of environmental solutions , because if not, what we say we do, `under the banner’ and what we actually do may not match. We haven’t got time for pseudo enlightenment.
Enough for now, we’ll get some artifacts organised and post em.
Hey Beef Patty ‘n’ Stu,
Sounds fantastic – we’d love to hear more about what your doing & look forward to receiving your posts! Do you have any recordings of your show? Art work?
Wouldn’t it be great to get rid of the “infernal” combustion engine. & yes there are so many viable alternate technologies (within the same paradigm of ‘personal transport’) that currently don’t stand a chance against the vested business interests of the petrochemical / vehicle industries. What are your ideas on how we can change this?
The family therapy side is really interesting too.
Peace,
Will.
