Ahimsa & the Audio-Voice project
“AudioVoice”, a youth program, will attempt to broaden the perceptions and consciousness of youth, audiences and the public by investgating current topics within Ahimsa ( or Non-Volence) , such as the rights of humans and animals to humane treatment by corporations and governments globally.
The wildness of youth has long been a target for the powers-that-be to demonstrate control, using young people as an example of their capacity to maintain ‘law and order’ this often curtails further ethical/political enquiry in young people. This project will seek to harness the potential of young people by exploring new possibilities around compassion and non-violence. Their technical, interpersonal and resilience skills will be built upon with views to the young people developing their own programs in the future.
The way this will occur is through the Audio Voice Youth Initiative
Which is essentially an audio based topical interview skill peer -education program for young people. It is an extension of the concept pioneered by youth projects ‘Video Voice’ and ‘Photo Voice’.
Groudbreaking interview content on hot topics can be sourced from peers and the public by young people using strategic questioning and then taken back and spliced into a hip-hop, dance or trance track (or some other style) with the help of producer Ash Wanders and Altruismusic studios. A new medium of expression for young people is spawned, potentially leading them toward journalism and documentary making, politics or music, and… Giving them product!
The time of transition from child to adult is a border region where, in many traditional societies, a person was taken out of the everyday culture, opened up to the liminal ‘between’ worlds where all is possible, and reintegrated into their new life.
A transcendence of the mundane submission to hierarchical norms is the desired result. Creating alternate pathways of liberation in the nervous system and brain. States of ‘flow’, as vital as loving, breathing or swimming can release humanity from the bondage of domination, violence or numb inertia into the liminal visceral awareness of the present – awake and inadvertently ‘dangerous’ to the sustainability of oppressive systems of fear.

This website will add immense accessibility to “Ahimsa”, through worldwide awareness, youth access and it’s commercial sustainability.
If you feel the need for visual material to showcase your CD so that your music and mission can have more commercial sustainability, with a background as a visual artist, I value the added scope for impact that is found in the visual terrain. Graphics will be provided
As for the live element we will be stretching and transmuting the possibilities of ‘gigs and video clips’ with live visual projections cross-referencing the performative moment with pre-recorded original visuals
