Altruismusic credit system (LETS)

The Altruismusic credit system allows musicians and writers to build up credits for contributions made to other artist’s projects.
The way it works is based on an internet aided LETS system used in Capetown in Africa. Cashless trade is made possible and sophisticated by a transparent electronic register which lists;

  1. Contributors
  2. Skills
  3. Work done (so far in the music community)
  4. Credits made available

For example:

  1. If John a local guitarist contributes 7 hrs of session work to an Altruismusic artist’s album. Then John can in the near future get the same number of hours of reciprocally free recording time for his own project
  2. or if Jane, a local vocalist contributes 3 hrs of backing vocal work to an Altruismusic artist’s CD launch. Then Jane can, in the near future get a few original songs produced down to CD in return.

The transparency of the credit system ensures that each contributor has done good works in the musical community which will afford him or her some good works in return from the music community.

Altruismusic credit is essentially a transparent cashless musical bartering system for writers, instrumentalists, performers and recording artists in the blue mountains and beyond.
